Lots of vocal mic’s are hard to grip when you sweats lots (big stage lights throw lots of heat), maybe its so he can keep a grip on the mic.

Well I mean that would be a first if a musician was trying to integrate that into a concert. I would be interested to see how you could mesh working on a car and doing your musical performance theme and fans not thinking it was insanely awkward. lol
